What Propelled Me to Create The Daring
August 18, 2008
There is an interesting story behind The Daring that goes back to the fall of 2001. I would like to invite you to read it. Please go to the website - under the About Us section you will find The Daring Story.
I believe that we all have a deep desire to live more daringly, to be all that we can be … to have an exciting and fulfilling life. But, at the end of the day, only a few of us dare to step out of comfort zone, follow our hearts and embrace life with passion and gusto. It is even harder if we try to go at it alone without some level of encouragement, support, access to knowledge and leadership from women who have been there and done that so to speak - and, at the same time, not be limited by geographical boundaries to find the support and the knowledge we need.
So many women offer products and services that are not limited to a specific geography (the world can literally be our playground) and now with the cost of gas it becomes even more practical to have the opportunity to reach out to other likeminded women without always having to leave your home.
In my opinion, women tend to do business differently. We turn to other likeminded women for support and inspiration. And once we find the right support system, tools, ideas and connections, we have the strength to aim higher and the confidence to see and seize the opportunities before us to create the life, business or career we crave and to fulfill our personal and professional aspirations.
To validate my thinking, however, I did a lot of research to ensure that I was not the only one wanting what I was looking for and not finding it So, before creating The Daring I spent over 18 months interviewing successful daring women to find out number 1: what they all had in common - what were the traits that they exemplify in their daily lives (and that’s how I came up with the 7 Principles of Successful Daring Women) and number 2 what had contributed the most to their success.
There were three things they all agreed on: 1. Follow in the footsteps of successful leaders who can guide you, teach you and inspire you, 2. Surround yourself with likeminded people who want you to succeed and reciprocate with same, and 3. Dare to Promote Yourself … you have to be seen in order to be successful .. you have to show up, speak up, stand up and stand out. I would add to that, you have to be emotionally resilient.
So every woman out there has those same needs but not all have the means and the access to knowledge, expertise, connections and support at a price they can afford.
That’s exactly why I created The Daring. A place where women could speak their minds, share their dreams, make friends, negotiate deals, strut their stuff, empower and inspire one another to take bold actions and risks to live a more fulfilling, abundant and prosperous life…, in short to embrace a more Daring lifestyle.
We offer our members over 10 different ways to increase their visibility, gain free exposure and promote their unique products, services, programs and events to our community. Nothing speaks to success like a successful entrepreneur or professional so The Daring has assembled a first-class lineup of Success Experts to guide you. Women who have excelled in their fields and achieved great success are involved with The Daring to help our members to soar. They’re sharing their powerful lessons, empowering knowledge and intimate secrets to success. We host Virtual Coaching and Community Support Calls where our members ask questions, requests for help and share their successes. We will soon launch The Daring Women Series and so much more.
The International Community of Daring Women is exactly the type of network a woman needs if she is ready to step up and take ownership of her life and goals.

Dare to Take Some Time Off
August 14, 2008
My husband and I just got back late last night from a 6-day mini vacation to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico. We were celebrating our third wedding anniversary.
While on vacation, I totally unplugged — no cell phone, no emails … . I cannot tell you how good it felt. I am back with a lot of good ideas for The Daring. More on that soon!!!
p.s. Welcome to all the new subscribers and members who signed up while I was away.
